Question:
What is the difference between a bibliography and a reference list?

bibliography is a list of all the sources of information you read or viewed while preparing your assessment. It can include background information you didn't actually quote or paraphrase.

reference list includes only the resources that have been used and cited in your assessment, i.e. information you quoted or paraphrased.

Please ask your teacher if you need to create a bibliography or reference list for your assessment.

Our referencing guides for APA and Harvard will show you how to format your bibliography or reference list correctly.
