Question:
Can I change my TAFE NSW password?

To change your student password:

  • log into the TAFE NSW Student Portal using your current username and password
  • click on your name in the top right corner and select Change Password
  • follow the prompts

You may be asked to add your personal email address for Password Recovery.

Your new password needs to meet the following requirements:

  • Passwords are case sensitive and must be alphanumeric
  • Passwords should contain at least one number, lower case and uppercase character.
  • Minimum length is 8 characters
  • Mixed cases are allowed and encouraged
  • Special keyboard characters are allowed (~!@#$%^&*()-_=+[]{};:,.<>/?')
  • Not more than 2 repeating (AAA) characters
  • Previous passwords cannot be reused

If you need assistance with re-setting your password, call 131 601 and select option 4 (password and login assistance). Alternatively, contact your nearest TAFE NSW Library or Administration Office. You may be asked to show your ID and answer some questions to confirm your identity and current enrolment status.
